Mimosas

I have never met a person who didn't absolutely love mimosas. Or, well, I suppose it's possible that I have met such a monster, but I must have immediately removed them from my life and blocked them from my memory. Either way, everyone loves mimosas!

While I would never, ever, turn down a standard orange juice mimosa, why not mix things up a little? A good, dry, sparkling wine is basically a blank canvas, which means the flavor combinations are potentially endless. Substitute any fruit juice in place of the orange juice, and kick up the flavor (and booze) quotient with a splash of fruit liqueur. Let your imagination run wild!

I typically use a ratio of 1 part juice to 3 parts sparkling wine, but feel free to adjust the amounts to your personal preferences.

If you're planning a party, or serving mimosas to a group, one 750ml bottle of sparkling wine will make 6-8 drinks. So get at least two bottles, because everyone loves mimosas!
